Text comes from the PDF’s real letters, not from a photo of the page. If the sheet is a scan with no text layer, I’ll say so and send you to OCR. Not InDesign: new type is Helvetica, odd characters may become a question mark. For a clean range, extract still exists. For separate files, merge. Then Sign PDF if you need visible ink — not SPID, not eIDAS. Download: on the free plan the file does not stay.
Questions, short answers
Can I change three lines of the contract?
Yes, if the PDF has real text: click the line, move or rewrite it. This is not a layout app and I don’t certify the file in court. If the sheet is only an image, run OCR first.
Does the original on my computer split?
No. I make a new file. Yours stays whole. The upload still expires (about an hour on the free plan).
Is this a digital signature?
No. Visible ink is Sign PDF. SPID, CIE or eIDAS are not this desk.
