Cookies, four drawers

The choice starts from the banner at the bottom and reaches PUT /v1/consents (necessary, analytics, advertising, preferences). It also stays locally, so I don’t show the sheet on every reload.

Necessary

Guest or account session, security, daily quota, memory of this choice. Without these you don’t convert. They stay on. Examples: httpOnly session cookie, paperza-consent on the device.

Analytics

Off by default. If you turn them on, we measure aggregated use (tool opens, finished conversions) without sending the file name or content to third parties. Today there may not be a script yet: the drawer is there anyway, so the choice is ready.

Advertising

Off by default. No ad scripts before consent. On the free plan, if you open this drawer, a placeholder box may appear. Until TCF / Consent Mode is there, real scripts stay off: we don’t fake an already-compliant AdSense banner.

Preferences

Things like the language chosen from the switcher at the top. It stays on this device if you open this drawer.
