What we process

Files you leave us to convert, technical metadata (size, type, checksum), job status, session or guest cookies, email if you create an account, cookie consents, support messages you write, payment data handled by Stripe (we don’t store cards). We don’t use the file name as an advertising event.

Why

To run the conversion you ask for, prevent abuse, meet legal duties, send receipts if you pay. Intended basis: contract or pre-contractual steps for the service; legitimate interest against abuse on the guest plan, to be validated; consent for optional analytics and ads.

How long files stay

Free plan: as a rule within an hour. Paid plans: within 24 hours, unless set otherwise. Temporary OCR or summary files: minutes. We don’t make permanent backups of your PDFs. Delete = object storage + database, not a “just in case” drawer.

Without an account

You can convert as a guest. The session is a technical cookie. Without signing up there is no history you can consult beyond retention.

Transfers and subprocessors

Infrastructure intended in the European Union. Payments, mail, antivirus and any summary models are listed in subprocessors. If text leaves towards a model, that list and this notice, updated, will say so. The binary file doesn’t leave towards the model.

AI

Summary and translation, if on, work on extracted text. Free plan: off. Brand kill-switch: if it’s off, it’s off.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection, complaint to the authority. Export and delete from the account when you’re in, or by writing to supporto@paperza.it. Export is metadata and consents, not binaries already expired.
