How much does it shrink?
Depends on the photos inside. A text-only contract barely moves. A scanned booklet drops more.
Is it still ok to print?
For a home printer, usually yes. For a print-shop cover, keep the heavy original.
Why does nothing change sometimes?
Because it’s already compressed. I don’t invent space from nowhere.
